A Comprehensive Guide to Create an Engaging Email Newsletter

The 21st century is often referred to as the informative / digital age due to the rapid transition from regular progress to digital technologies. This rapidly advancing world demands innovative marketing skills to reach clients directly and engage them with your products and services effectively.

The goal of marketing is the announcement of products and services in an effective way that ensures sales. Therefore, e-newsletters have received a buzz in digital marketing.

    Concept of a newsletter

To segregate the information among your audience, sending regular updates is an effective way to achieve the desired results.

“The word newsletter refers to a letter containing targeted information / news.”

The concept originated in the early 17th century and further evolved into the more advanced form that we are familiar with today.

Email Newsletter – an approach for marketing

Sending emails having news, updates, offers, discounts and promotions is a renowned marketing approach. This method helps companies to directly deliver their product / service information to their clients.

    It can be defined as:

Newsletters are used in email marketing to regularly update clients about the latest trends, sales, products, or services provided by the brand or company.

It can also be understood as: “a miniature newspaper to market the content via email.”

    Purpose of Email Newsletter

Email bulletins are created with the sole objective of “creating brand awareness (including product or service briefings) in addition to exciting sales offers directly to the client’s inbox.”

However, the purpose may vary depending on the aim and targets of the businesses that they want to attain. Such as a clothing brand would create an email newsletter with the purpose of increasing company sales. Same as a blogging website would create a newsletter to inform its subscribers about a new blog published on the website to generate traffic.

Newsletters are “CREATING AWARENESS” which is mentioned above. In turn, they are helping businesses to maintain a relationship with their end users and attain loyalty with customers.

    Types of e-newsletters

Depending on the marketing strategy, email bulletins can be classified into four categories.

    1. Selling Newsletters are written for brand sales, their offers, and their products to achieve sales targets.
    2. Content Newsletters intend to deliver authentic and engaging content to generate traffic on websites and maintain subscribers’ interest in their sites.
    3. Trigger Newsletters are set in an automotive mode which activates when a certain action is taken by the customer or any other trigger pops up. For example, making a purchase (customer-initiated action) or neglecting cart reminders (system-generated).
    4. Transactional Newsletters on the other hand are generated specifically when a transaction, purchase, or any action is taken by the client. It can even include signing up for an online platform.

Moreover, depending on the audience catered for, there are 3 types of e-bulletins:

    1. The Company Newsletters issued by brands or companies to build communication among their clients, employees, or stakeholders. It fulfills the purpose of delivering product information, the company’s spotlight, financial reports, and much more to its audience.
    2. The Consumer Newsletters are generated to build a strong bond with their potential customers to achieve sales targets.
    3. The Organization Newsletters issued by NGOs, clubs, or any similar organization to let people know about their activities and work.

According to an estimate, email users globally have reached 4.3 billion which will increase to 4.6 billion in the next couple of years. This fact depicts the importance of email marketing.

Emails are a powerful tool to deliver product descriptions, Friday sales, coupons, discount offers etc., directly to the customer’s inbox. Therefore, a company or individual must use email marketing as a potent way to disseminate information and build a strong connection with their audience.

Steps to creating an engaging e-newsletter

While it is widely understood that there is a significant impact of emails on the growth of a company. So, it is equally important to explore unique and effective ways to craft e-newsletters that can sustain loyalty and connection for the long term with the end-users.

Here, I am discussing 3 simple steps that will help to craft an effective e-bulletins:

    1. Planning
    2. Crafting
    3. Analyzing and evaluating

Let’s discuss each one thoroughly to know what exactly has to be done to create engaging e-newsletters.

    Step 01: PLANNING

Planning is a broad term that involves every step that has to be taken in the future from creating content, choosing visuals, and finding emails to selecting domains, etc. It involves every little detail that is going to be part of emails. However, we will consider the key points.

    • Finding and listing subscribers’ email addresses

The primary concern of a newly launched startup is to find customers’ email IDs. This can be done by contacting the local General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Moreover, adding CTAs to the website, creating social media ads, or listing emails directly from the clients can also help you grow your customer database.

    • Establishing the frequency

Choosing the e-newsletter frequency or sending interval i.e., weekly, fortnightly, or monthly is an important decision because it sets the subscriber’s expectations, helps to design content, and creates consistency.

    • Choosing the right time

It is also important to plan which time of the day is suitable to grab subscribers’ attention and gain maximum clicks to the newsletter. According to research, sending emails during mid-day gets significant traffic compared to other times of the day. This may be due to the fact that people usually check their inbox before returning to work after lunch break.

    Step 02: CRAFTING

While drafting newsletters, it is necessary to craft them with attractive visuals and a reader-friendly format with concise information. It involves:

    • Topic Selection

Wisely choose a topic for your newsletter to maintain readers’ interest and uphold a brand image. Writing on an engaging topic helps you to maintain subscribers’ interest and commitment to the newsletter.

    • Captivating heading

Initiating an email bulletin with a striking heading grabs readers’ attention and engagement with the content. Many of us do open emails but due to tedious taglines, end up deleting them. Try to create concise and unique heading lines.

    • Writing authentic and targeted information

The key to a long-lasting relationship with subscribers is to satisfy their thirst for information with well-researched, authentic, and updated information. It helps to build brand credibility and grow significant traffic.

    • Adding visuals

Putting relevant images with eye-soothing colors adds value to the newsletter. It helps readers to understand and engage with the content.

    • Devices-friendly format

The most used device at the present time is mobile phones. Therefore, it is crucial to design a newsletter mobile-friendly. It involves text formatting, color usage, image-to-text balance, etc.

It is also important to note that the ideal length of a newsletter is 200-300. So, focus on essential information.

    • Call to Action (CTA)

Wrap up the content with CTA relevant to the company’s objective. For instance, CTA for blogs can be “SIGN-UP” to the website whereas, for clothing brands, CTA would be “BUY NOW” etc.

    Step 03: ANALYZING & EVALUATION

This step allows us to determine the user’s engagement with the content that was sent to their emails. It helps to improve the quality of the newsletter and aids in finding active users. In this way, a long-term connection will be built with loyal customers. Evaluation of the content can be done through:

    • A/B test

A/B test is used to compare the performance of different versions of single web content to examine user experience. In the A/B test, A depicts the original version of the content serving as CONTROL whereas B is the updated version of the same content. Hence, it aids in finding the version to be persuaded further.

    • KPIs Analysis

Key Performance indicators (KPIs) are a matrix used to analyze the performance of a newsletter. It typically involves click rate (No. of clicks on the link added to the newsletter), Bounce rate (number of mails that could be delivered), Delivery rate (depicts the number of emails delivered compared to the sent mails), and unsubscribe rate (no. of readers who opt for the unsubscribe option).

    Conclusion

Successful marketing involves a long-lasting relationship with clients in a promising way to boost business. The digital era has made things easier to do. Sending an offer or promotion or an update via emails is one of those marketing strategies that can help to build a strong community with the audience.

Facts show that crafting an engaging email newsletter results in brand-customer loyalty and increased sales with an increased social media following. Therefore, strategic planning is required to produce top-notch newsletters to ensure traffic generation and sales of the offerings.

Lastly, regular and timely publication with consistency is the key to the success of e-newsletter marketing. It maintains users’ anticipation. The purpose is not only to market the product but to foster a thriving community as well.

So, take a step ahead and build a community through emails.

  • Top 6 Successful Blogger Marketing Strategies for Beginners

Top 6 Successful Blogger Marketing Strategies for Beginners

In this era of technology, innovation has led to the integration of forgotten techniques with advanced strategies. Long gone is the time when electronic and print media were different from one another. Now, not only do successful entrepreneurs know how to promote one kind using the other, but they also make sure their efforts do not go in vain.

Since recently, blogging and vlogging have taken up every aspect of the internet. Whether it is for publicity, marketing, or even just for fun, every person has become a blogger or vlogger. Given the new importance this aspect has gained, we shall discuss today a few simple and easy strategies to market your blog effectively and efficiently.

Why should you market your blog?

Speaking from personal experience, you may be as skilled as you may be, but it won’t matter until the world recognizes your talent. In other words, the worth of your effort is defined when people acknowledge what you have to present. For that, marketing what you’ve written is very important.

For instance, there is a product you worked so hard to manufacture. As long as you don’t promote it, there will not be many people other than you who will know about it. Similarly, there is a place you visited, or a routine process you want to share, the best way to do so is by blogging and its marketing.

So, let’s walk through a few simple steps that will help with this promotion.

    Know your audience

While blogging, it is very important to keep in mind who will read your post. You can’t expect a doctor to be interested in what you have to say about computers, and you can’t expect an expert to read your articles about absolute basics. Moreover, knowing what your audience includes much more than just the niche selected. You must write engaging content that will tempt your audience to read your blog all the way through.

Keep in mind that not everyone is a reader. In fact, there is a small ratio of our population that enjoys reading, but these few thousand people do know what writing a blog is all about. So, make sure to consider your audience’s interest before blogging.

    Write engaging content

Every skilled writer is a blogger, but not every blogger is a skilled writer. When surfing through the internet about anything and everything, we find a lot of AI-generated content. Trust me, people know it’s not you who wrote this. They’re just kind enough not to point you out. Now that AI-generated content is out of options, here’s where your skills come in.

Remember in high school when the teacher taught us to put the most effort into writing the introduction of anything? That is what we’ll do here as well. Your opening paragraph must be written well enough to compel the reader to read further. But that’s not all, your blog should be of a kind that interacts with each individual and a whole community at the same time, so no one feels as if this blog isn’t for them.

Also, before randomly diving into your article that will cause you to track away from your actual topic for sure, make sure to thoroughly research your keyword and relevant content. Here is complete guidance to write an engaging blog.

    Promote through social media

Now that we have a well-researched and well-written article in hand, it is time to show it to the whole world. To make sure your effort reaches the other side of the globe, social media comes in handy. All you need to do is upload your content on every available and relevant platform and share it with others. This global village will do the rest for you. But do remember, plagiarized content will not take you very far in this world.

Here is our blog on how to promote your blog through social media.

    Stay up to date

Blogging is not about staying in one niche forever. Bloggers must know what the world is talking about and write on the most recent topic to keep the world engaged in their posts. To do this, you may join group chats and newsgroups to keep yourself updated on what’s going on in the world.

    Interact with your audience

Even though many people say that what’s hidden is the worthiest of all, this might not be the case when it comes to blogging. When readers comment on one of your posts, they are thrilled when their inspirational figure responds to what they have to say. Another way of doing this is by joining forums such as Quora or Reddit and giving your audience a chance to interact with you outside of your blog. People like what they can reach.

    Collaborating blogs

Before you question this strategy, know that no one can take your worth away from you. It might not be the best strategy, but it is one to consider, which is why it is placed at the end of the list. Collaborating with other bloggers will not only boost both your content, but a fused effort will help you gain new insights. Do make sure to lay your interests and differences on the table before collaborating though. This will help sort things out much easier.

    Conclusion

Blogging is not only about writing the content. If you are your own writer and manager, you must know the importance of marketing your efforts. The only way to stay in this competition with over 6 million people is not to back out and give it your all. That being said, it is important to work harder but smarter so you don’t overtire yourself and achieve what you’ve worked for.

  • Best strategies to grow blog organically

Best strategies to grow blog organically

Writing an engaging blog is the first and foremost step ever when you intend to grow your blog and generate traffic. Here, in my other article, I also have discussed several ways and strategies to be opted to write an engaging content.

Generating organic traffic on the blog may take more time, but the result is far more than expected. It ensures the credibility of your content and engagement with readers. Paid ads rank searched pages on top of the SERP results. It may help you attain immediate clicks on your website but that does not persist in the long run.

Moreover, many users do not believe in paid content. So, growing a blog organically is essential to generate consistent traffic. Therefore, I am highlighting the most effective ways that pivot in gaining organic reach. It is a game of patience, but it’s all worth it in the end.

    Let’s begin with amazing tips.

    Choose a topic wisely

It is the most critical step when you plan to boost the blog. Choosing a niche, and writing specific, well-researched content play a crucial part in generating organic traffic. Although writing an article on your favorite topic may excite you, it will not help you to rank on top in SERP.

When the aim is to bring traffic without paying hefty amounts, it is important to write about people’s interests. Several paid and free tools are available on the internet to find the most asked questions from the readers.

    Create Spicy headlines

After topic selection, it’s time to create click-worthy headlines. Eye catchy headlines ensure 90% of clicks on weblinks. Well optimized headlines increase chances of appearance on search engines when a related query is searched.

Usually, Google allows 70 words for taglines that emerge on SERP, so rearrange and write accordingly.

While designing tags, keep in mind that curiosity is human nature that quests to find new things. Creating a headline with a curiosity element is the first step to get clicks.

    Crafting words according to query

It is important to understand the target audience for which an article is written. Try to balance the LSIs relevant to the topic and audience. Also, it must be understood that on whatever topic you write, think and search maximum queries that people may search for. So, try to integrate such keywords and information in your content.

    Use Long-Tail Keyword

Long-tail keyword refers to those queries that have more than 3 words which serves to narrow down the search intent and find specific information rather than general topic. For example: searching for “Vitamin C” is a general topic whereas searching for “which fruits have a higher value of Vit. C” is the long tail keyword.

Long tail keywords are different from LSIs in many ways. LSIs are relevant terminologies of the main heading whereas long tail keywords are extended forms of tagline. It can also be understood as “the targeted query in the search engine is long tail keywords whereas contextually relevant words in the search engine are LSI.”

For example: The LSI for shoes is “footwear, running shoes, shoe styles, etc. whereas the long tail keyword for shoes would be “comfortable shoes for women with high heels.” Long tail keywords may involve WH questions.

Hence, these keywords play a crucial role in engaging the right kind of audience. These are less competitive and have a higher conversion rate. According to an estimation, 20,000 audiences can be engaged in a span of 6 months organically when using the right and related long-tail keywords in the blog.

    Add relevant Visuals

Visuals play an equally important part in blogs because it is much easier to convey messages through images or illustrations as compared to text alone. Additionally, colors can significantly improve audience engagement. Therefore, integrating content-related visuals into articles can help to attract the right kind of audience with subsequently increased traffic.

    Adding CTA

CTA (Call to Action) guides readers to explore other posts on the site. Audiences that engage with CTAs have a genuine interest in the blog content. Therefore, it is important to add contextually relevant internal and external links in the CTAs.

You can add popup for newsletter, contact form, and share buttons etc. in your content.

    Improve On-Page SEO

A combination of practices made to optimize a web page for better user experience and improved search engine analysis is called On-Page SEO or On-Site SEO. It comprises the optimization of meta tags, content, internal links, etc.

While discussing on-page SEO, it is crucial to understand the need for internal links and backlinks to improve the search engine ranking of sites organically.

Internal link drives traffic from one blog post to another within the same blog site. In this way, visitors remain engaged and explore more related content. Whereas, backlinks or external links help to divert the traffic from one blog site to another. These links send a signal to search engines that the blog contains content of readers’ interest which is searched frequently. In this way, the blogging website achieves a higher ranking on SERP.

    Guest Blogging

Guest blogging refers to the type of blogging in which an article has been written for a website while retaining the personal identity as the author. In the author’s credentials, links can be added that lead back to your own blog site.

Hence it is important to choose a guest blogging opportunity for a site with substantial audience engagement, as this can help to direct the audience to your own blog site. Ultimately, an organic audience would be generated.

    Promote blogs on social media

Nowadays, spreading information through social media is like wildfire in the forest. Sharing links to several social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc., and social media communities with relevant hashtags can help to capture a better audience.

Consistent posting with strategic use of hashtags boosts the blog’s visibility. Also, direct interaction with readers builds a community that ultimately becomes traffic to your blog site.

    Conclusion

With a strategic combination of high-quality content, On-page SEO, and updated information, generating traffic to the blog free of cost is absolutely possible. The process requires lots of patience and consistency, with targeted efforts. Using social media rightfully can help the blog to widen audience engagement.

The key takeaway is to couple consistency with directed efforts yield results. Neither of them works effectively in isolation.

  • Avoid Keyword Stuffing Right Away Google is penalizing

Avoid Keyword Stuffing Right Away Google is penalizing

When starting the journey of SEO writing, the most common terminology one can hear is KEYWORD. Users type related words in search box of a search engine. Different links appear on SERP page. A writer create content on different searched queries after their analysis.

But what happens if the write uses searched queries in his content so often that it sounds unnatural in the context of the content??? It is then said to be “Keyword Stuffing.”

    History

In the initial digital era of the 1990s to 2000, when Yahoo led the search engine, Keyword stuffing was a means of ranking high on SERP. However, with the advancement in algorithms, and especially after the Google, this technique becomes a major setback to websites.

From now onwards, Google penalizes, and de-indexes web content overloaded with keywords. And search engines label this approach as Black hat SEO. Therefore, we highly discourage using black hat tactics. In the long run, such methods cause immense loss to websites.

    Definition

Google has published some spam policies that de-rank the content on SERP which also includes Keyword stuffing, Google defines it as:

“Piling up the web content with similar keywords without context or unnaturally to manipulate search engine ranking results”

Take an example to better understand it. Let’s say ‘automobile’ is our main phrase and the content produced against this keyword would be:

Looking for information on automobiles? You have come to the right automobile place. Our automobile website offers automobiles for sale, automobile reviews, and automobile tips. Explore the latest and wide selection of automobiles with our automobile service today……………”

Here, it is clearly visible that the “automobile” has been used in excess without the need, producing dull and unnatural content.

    Keyword Stuffing Pitfalls

It has serious consequences. Below are listed some of the reasons to avoid it:

    • It negatively impacts user experience because the content sounds inhuman.
    • It is a negative SEO technique that will promptly de-rank the web content.
    • Pages with overuse and repetition of key phrases will immediately be penalized if web crawlers notice keyword spamming.
    • Moreover, search engines may permanently delete and de-index web pages.

    Methods of Doing Keyword Stuffing

Here below, I am discussing some methods of keyword stuffing. All these techniques manipulate SERP page for the desired results. So, search engines label such approaches as black hats.

Let’s take a look of them one by one.

    Visible and Invisible text

Using primary key phrases repeatedly in unnatural way in your content to engage the audience is called visible keyword stuffing.

However, if such keywords are employed invisibly, such as matching the font color with the website, or using them within meta tags to hinder them from readers is called invisible keyword stuffing. It attracts the reader’s attention easily.

    Spamdexing

It is a comprehensive term that encompasses the techniques employed to maneuver SERP results. This tactic is also referred to as Web-Spam. It can be done using different approaches such as:

    Article Spinning or content spinning

As the name suggests, it is the method of spinning or rewriting another’s piece of content using different key phrases and words with the aim of generating genuine and original work.

    Cloaking

Delivering different pieces of content to readers and search engine spiders to attain a high rank in SERP without creating unique and authentic content.

    Doorway page

Another approach in spamdexing is to create low-value and low-quality web pages for certain key phrases to rank high in search results. It typically involves redirects and adds zero to a low value to the knowledge of the reader.

    Metadata Stuffing

The HTML tags that provide insight into web page content and consist of relevant information are called meta tags. So, stuffing metadata means to add repetition of key phrases. Sometimes, SEO professionals flood metadata with such words that are not even related to the content.

    Analyzing keyword density

The first and foremost way to identify stuffing is by analyzing keyword density. Here is the formula to identify repetition of primary or target key phrases in content. Also add LSI words in your blogs.

Keyword density = (total no. of times a keyword appears/total number of words in the text) *100.

The recommended density is 1-2%. So, if the article is about a “healthy lifestyle”, this keyword should not be more than 20 times for a 1000-word article.

    Strategies to avoid Keyword Stuffing

There are numerous ways to create top-notch content without overloading it with primary key phrases and targeted SEO words. Let’s explore some of these methods.

    1. Put all your effort into producing well-researched and quality content for the audience. Not only will this set you apart, but it will also expand your vocabulary, eventually reducing the risk of spamdexing.
    2. Writing a reasonably long and detailed article is another effective way to get rid of repetitively used similar words. Long articles necessitate the inclusion of more information and scenarios, hence leading to the use of a greater variety of words and phrases.
    3. Incorporating synonyms also adds value to the content and helps to reduce the repetitive use of primary key phrases.
    4. Adding long-tail words into the web content resolves the issue because they are less competitive and target specific user queries, reducing the likelihood of consecutive repetition.
    5. Use the primary keyword naturally in the content. Also avoid forced insertion of the primary searched queries.

    Conclusion

Keyword spamming is no longer an SEO-friendly technique. Widely used search engine GOOGLE has updated its algorithm and strictly de-rank and penalizes such website which are using black hats’ SEO.

It is always better to stay consistent with quality content rather than manipulating search results to rank higher which eventually falls you down. Producing genuine and authentic content while following standard rules will eventually pay you back and last longer. Here we have another blog on writing Google loving content.

Adapting ethical SEO techniques along with producing users’ friendly content is the way forward for sustainable growth and ranking high on Search Engine Results Pages (SERP).

  • Combine Time Tested Frameworks With AI To Generate Facebook Ad Effortlessly

Combine Time Tested Frameworks With AI To Generate Facebook Ad Effortlessly

Who has seen a Facebook Ad? My bet is everyone unless they’re living under a rock.

Facebook is one of the largest social media platforms used all over the world. From baby boomers to gen Z, there’s hardly any age group that hasn’t heard of or used Facebook at least once in their lifetime.

From keeping up with friends and family to building businesses online, Facebook has revolutionized the way humans interact with each other in every aspect.

With the onset of Facebook ads, digital marketing has become a force to be reckoned with. While the more conventional styles of marketing and advertising such as TV commercials, newspapers, billboards and flyers are now primarily used by big budget companies, small to medium-sized businesses rely more on Facebook ads for better outreach and cost effectiveness.

However, it can be easily argued that the world of digital marketing can be visibly divided into two distinct eras. One before the invention of language model AI tools such as ChatGPT and the other after it.

In a world where AI is free to use, it feels counterproductive not to use it for boosting your business online. It’s like refusing a free opportunity that can potentially make you hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. Is it wise to miss such a chance?

So today, you’ll discover the ways you can harness the power of AI to quickly generate effective Facebook ads.

But first, you need to understand.

Basic Structure Of A Facebook Ad

A Facebook ad is composed of:

    • Caption: It’s the top most part of the Facebook ad that you can see above the video or image. The length varies depending upon the level of audience awareness. However, the main purpose is to convince the audience to take the next step.
    • Creative: The video or image used in an ad is called the creative.
    • Headline: The one line seen below the creative seen next to the link.
    • Description: The limited text seen below the headline.

Proven Frameworks For Writing Effective Ads

Writing a Facebook ad is distinctly different from writing a Facebook post. The people who specialize in writing Facebook ads and other forms of copy are called copywriters and the entire field is a part of direct response marketing.

However, there are some proven frameworks that have been used by expert digital marketers and copywriters and you can use these frameworks to write compelling ads.

Three of them are described below:

    HVO Framework

This framework is popular because it’s perfect for short form copy such as Facebook and Instagram ads. Here’s the breakdown of HVO framework:

    • H: Hook: Hook the audience with an attention grabbing headline, description and first few lines of the caption. The aim is to stop the audience mid-scroll and make them read the entire copy. Bonus points if your ad creative also manages to capture their attentiveness.
    • V: Value: Describe the value your product or service provides and how it can transform their lives for the better. It is also useful to describe what your prospects will miss out on if they do not act urgently.
    • O: Offer: State your offer and explain how it is a no-brainer and the best solution to their problem followed by a powerful Call-To-Action describing the exact steps they need to take next in order to get this offer.

    PAS Framework

This framework is equally good for writing Facebook ads. Here’s how it works:

    • P: Problem: State the biggest problem your target audience is facing. This could be the biggest pain point they’re trying to get rid of or the biggest desire they want to sprint towards.
    • A: Agitate: Now agitate their pain point. Expand on their problem and explain what else their current problem is making them go through. Some people find this part unethical, particularly if you’re focusing on the pain points rather than building up desire by stating the dream state and additional benefits your target audience can achieve with your product.
    • S: Solve: Solve your prospect’s problem by stating your product or services as the obvious solution and end it with a compelling Call-To-Action so that the audience knows what to do next.

    AIDA Framework for Raising Awareness

The third framework that’s widely used by expert digital marketers is AIDA:

    • A: Attention Get your ideal client’s attention with the help of a hook. The more it’s based on their biggest pain point or deepest desire, the more likely it’s able to grab their attention.
    • I : Interest Pique their interest so that they read further. The more time they spend reading your copy, the more likely they are to buy.
    • D: Desire Once they’re invested in what you have to say, it’s time to build up some desire. You can do this by highlighting the benefits they’ll get with the help of your product or by using scarcity to create fear of missing out. Or even use both. The choice is yours.
    • A: Action Next comes the final step of a powerful Call-To-Action. It’s time to tell your audience the exact step they need to take in order to achieve their dream state.

Effective ChatGPT Prompt To Quickly Write Great Ads

    Now comes the juicy part.

Here’s a template you can use for ChatGPT to write Facebook ads using proven frameworks. Just log in to a free ChatGPT account and write:

Hey ChatGPT. You’re now a world class copywriter who’s a pro at writing Facebook ads copy. I want you to write 3 different ads for *product/service* targeting *ideal customer avatar*. Use *name* framework to call out their *biggest pain point/desire*. The copy should be concise, persuasive and *any other adjective you want to use* and it should end with *Call-To-Action*

To elaborate further, here is an example:

Hey ChatGPT. You’re now a world class copywriter who’s a pro at writing Facebook ads copy. I want you to write 3 different ads for organic hair oil targeting middle-aged women living in Canada and suffering from hair loss. Use the AIDA framework to call out their dream to have beautiful, healthy hair. The copy should be concise, persuasive and conversational and it should end with “buy now”.

Now, the purpose of asking for three different versions is because by no means, is ChatGPT the perfect copywriter. However, there is no doubt that it provides an excellent foundation for you to work on. Just keep in mind the proven elements of persuasion and with just a minor tweak, your copy is good to go.

    Conclusion

Knowledge of proven frameworks including HVO, PAS and AIDA can exponentially help in writing effective Facebook ads.

  • Top 25 Marketing Tactics To Boost Your Sales Online

Top 25 Marketing Tactics To Boost Your Sales Online

The online marketplace is becoming increasingly competitive every single day. Whether you’re a brick-and-mortar looking to expand your business in the online space, or a dropshipping business, here are some tried and tested strategies that can help you exponentially increase your sales online.

25 Marketing Tactics To Boost Your Sales Online

Here we go. Let’s take a bird’s eye view of marketing tactics to boost sales using internet channels.

    Optimised Website For SEO

The first step is to optimise your website for SEO so that it shows on the search engine result pages (SERPs). Not only is it an effective way to generate traffic organically, if your website appears on the front page of Google or any other search engine, chances of people clicking on your link and considering you an authority also increases.

This generates trust in your potential buyer before they even open your website.

    Social Proof

Humans are social animals with a strong tribal instinct and one of the best ways to persuade people into buying from you is to provide social proof. This is done with the help of testimonials, reviews and now UGC or user generated content.

Think of it this way, if you ever want to order something for yourself from an online store, who will you trust more? The product that has got reviews or the product without any all.

    Social Media for Content Marketing

Having a social media account helps you reach a wider audience as they have tons of followers and several people use these websites to search for products online.

This is why having a solid content marketing strategy in place can help you multiply your sales. In fact, a lot of small businesses solely depend on organic traffic via social media websites to support them initially.

    Influencer Marketing

Using social media influencers is a great way to broadcast your product to a wide audience and provide social proof.

This is why multinational companies such as Coca Cola or Pepsi have been traditionally using footballers, cricketers, singers etc. to promote their products.

Paid Advertisement Including Facebook, Instagram and Google ads

While generating traffic organically can be time consuming and dependent on the platform’s algorithms, one of the quickest methods to reach more people is through paid ads on social media websites and Google.

More audience means more leads and as long as your sales copy is on point, it can easily convert them into paying clients.

    Authenticity and Honesty

Always walk the talk. The market sophistication levels are super high and people can identify false, flashy gimmicks from miles away. This is why it is essential to not create false hype in your copy.

Be authentic and honest in providing information about your product. Even if sales go up initially because of the hype, people will get to know where your product really stands and if it does not deliver what you have promised, nobody will buy from you again. Reputation matters in the online space.

Direct Response Principles for Effective Copy

A good copy is essential for boosting your sales. It should include handling any objections your potential clients may have while explaining why people need your product and what makes it better from the other options available in the market.

A good product description focusing on benefits over features always trumps generic, boring descriptions.

    A/B Testing to Maximise Results

Always split tests to optimise your sales funnel. This includes testing captions, price points, calls-to-action, opt-ins, upsells, downsells, packages and promotions.

See what attracts your customer best and then double down on it.

Optimised Website For Mobile Phone Users

This one should be obvious but for some reasons, a large number of companies do not optimise their website for mobile phone users which greatly compromises the number of sales they could have made otherwise.

Provide user friendly interface, quick upload time and have a sales representative present to answer any queries that the user may have.

A lot of companies now not only use chatbots for this purpose, but also focus on training them to make the interaction as human as possible.

Consistent Brand Image Across All Touch Points

Have you ever seen an attractive ad but when you clicked on the link, the website seemed to be completely off and irrelevant? This is exactly what you need to avoid.

Whether it’s your social media presence, website, ad or emails, your brand tone and voice needs to remain the same in order to build trust with your audience.

    Voice of Customer

One of the best ways to build rapport with your target audience is to copy the way they talk.

Using the same words and phrases as your target audience resonates with them, making them choose you over your competitors.

    Decoy Pricing

Decoy pricing or price tiering is another way to push your audience towards purchasing the product or package you want them to buy most.

This is done by introducing a higher priced product in the list.

Studies have shown that when given a choice of selecting from cheap or expensive items, people usually go for choosing mid-ranged products.

    Customer Experience

Enhancing customer experience can be one of the most deciding factors why people prefer your ecommerce store over others.

This can be done by improving customer services, having a user friendly website, easy return policy, 24×7 sales representative, either human or chatbot, available etc.

    Multiple Payment Options

Not everyone has a Visa card or Mastercard. Making different payment options available increases the chances of making sure that the customers buy from you before they have a chance to change their minds.

Having payment plans in place can also help if the products are mid to high ticket.

Engaging With Clients On Social Media

Engaging with potential or previous clients online on your social media posts makes them feel heard and seen and improves their overall positive experience with your business, ultimately leading to repeat buys and more sales.

    Analytics Analysis

Always pay attention to data and see what helps you best. Use analytic tools to see where you get maximum conversions or where you lose your traffic and then adjust accordingly.

For example, perhaps you are getting good click through rates on your emails or ads but are not getting any sales. You need to see if you lose your potential customers on the landing page or the check out page and optimise your sales funnel accordingly.

    Opt-Ins

Opt-ins can be a great tool to collect data of your potential audience and also helps in retargeting clients that showed interest in your products but did not buy from your ecommerce store.

    Email Marketing

Email marketing is one of the best cost effective ways to sell your offers online, promote new products or retarget potential clients. All you need is an email list from the opt-ins or you can buy these lists and are good to go. No expensive ads required.

    Buyer Personas

One of the best ways to get more clients to buy from you, is by studying the customers you already have.

Study data to create buyer personas and try to target other people similar to your existing clients because they have the highest chances of buying your products.

    Urgency

This is a part of a good copy and helps boost your sales online by giving the customers a reason to buy from you right now instead of later.

Psychology says that the more time people have to think about it, the least likely they are to take any action.

Having real urgency can help increase your sales as the clients know that your offer is for a limited time only and once the opportunity is gone, it is least likely to come back again, thus motivating them to buy on the spot.

    Risk Aversion

Human beings do not like to take risks. Most of us have simply been wired this way since the caveman days.

One of the best ways to reduce this risk for your potential customers is to offer a money-back guarantee for your products.

    Abandoned Cart Sequences

Have abandoned cart email sequences in place for those who shopped through your online store but did not buy.

You can offer them discounts, or handle their objections or create urgency to persuade them into buying from your ecommerce store.

    Special discounts, promotions and packages

Have relevant discounts, promotions or packages in place and offer cross-sells, upsells or downsells to customers in order to maximise your sales and increase your profits.

For example, a person buying shampoo can be offered a hair conditioner at a discounted price or as a hair care package complete with a hair oil.

    Professional Photos Of Products

Always get the photos of your products done professionally or use apps that help take classy and professional looking photos.
Professional looking photos always help set you apart from other businesses and build your authority leading to more trust and more sales.

    Limited Choices

Surprisingly, research suggests that offering fewer choices helps more in increasing sales online as compared to overwhelming potential clients with a huge pool of offers.

Overwhelmed customers tend to delay buying and often leave without buying anything.

    Conclusion

Running an online business is a difficult task but these are some proven ways that can increase online sales and have been advocated by most successful entrepreneurs in the online world.

  • How to Popularize Your Blog in 7 Easy Steps

How to Popularize Your Blog in 7 Easy Steps

Blogging isn’t easy. Those who do it as a business and those who do it as a hobby may have different ulterior motives, but their ladder to success contains the same steps. Whether you hire somebody to write a blog for your website or do the energy-consuming thinking and typing on your own, you’ve invested something in yourself. And that, my friends, deserves to be seen by the public.

Let’s walk through 7 easy steps on how to popularize your blog so it gets the traffic it deserves. If done right and given the time it needs, you may even be able to monetize your work. So, it’s a win-win situation!

Make sure your blog is worthy of promoting

In order to popularize your blog, the first step is to make it internet-worthy. It needs to emit the aura of attraction that compels people to give it a read. That’s what’ll decide if your content deserves the promotion you’re giving it.

Your blog must be engaging. If your writing is creating a spell around reader, your content is worthy. Don’t worry I have strategies how you can bind your readers around you. Here is an article on writing an eye catchy content.

For that, there are a few simple strategies one can adopt, creating a website audit being one of them. In addition to that, your website and web hosting plan plays an important role here, so make sure it’s enough to handle the increasing traffic.

The first thing to pay attention to is the content of your article. Long gone are the times when keyword stuffing and AI tools could help rank a lousy blog with no spark. Sure, even now, that may help you rank an article or two at the start of your blogging career, but soon enough, Google is going to come back right at you with your writing pieces on the tip of a baseball bat. Engaging content not only drags traffic, it keeps it constant.

    Pay attention to SEO

In this step, you have to think of yourself as a reader rather than a blogger. If you were the audience currently on Google, what would your search query be for a specific blog to pop up? Knowing what your audience wants to read and writing exactly that sincerely for them is an important part of making your content viral.

Another important factor in SEO is a compelling meta description. Briefly and efficiently describe what your post intends to portray in words that will persuade the reader to click on and read your post. Lastly, don’t forget to include the search query in the URL and title tag of your web post.

    Research your audience

This may be closely related to the content being written, optimized, published and shared on different social media. This is where keyword research and something bloggers call ‘stick to the blog’ comes in. Make sure you’re writing about something people actually want to read.

For instance, tech gadgets are quite popular these days and people search the internet to get a know-how of these gadgets before actually buying them. Just make sure one of the articles they read is yours!

Another thing to keep in mind is the mind map of your post. Bloggers tend to deviate from their actual topic while creating their content. For example, this post is solely to construct ideas of how to popularize and increase reach to your blog. If I steer off in a direction that’ll attempt to teach you the basics of a blog, I am bound to lose your interest as fast as I get it, if not faster.

    Social Media Marketing

Social media has become an undeniable tool in the world of blogging. With new platforms emerging from time to time, articles, web posts and other text based content can be shared anywhere and everywhere. And what’s the best thing about social media marketing? It’s totally free!

However, just copy-pasting your post link and sharing it with everyone on your list isn’t gonna do the trick. You are gonna have to spend a few minutes coming up with curated content to efficiently describe your blog before sharing it to digital media.

Not many readers enjoy having to open a blog just to know what it’s about. Believe me, the few minutes spent writing a curated description help you get the clicks you need.

    Email Marketing

Apart from social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, promoting your work through emails also proves helpful. Even though it is the least used, believed and time proven method for creating a community of your blog. Email newsletter works better than you think.

In fact, a lot of awareness is spread through email marketing especially if your blog contains the right content for the right person. All you have to do is find that person and then email them!

    Engage with the audience

An audience is attracted to those who put in an effort for them. And by putting in an effort, I mean interacting with them. Replying to every comment made on your blog post not only thrills the audience but also gives you a chance to see what is going on in their mind.

Pay attention to the comments made by your audience as some may even contain a few shortcomings they noticed in your post that you may work on in your future articles. Despite what people believe about bloggers losing their value by being so direct with their audience, interacting with them one on one brings much positive traffic.

That being said, there is no bound for a blogger to comment on another influencer’s web post. This actually proves as a good strategy. Having another influencer comment on your post as you did theirs might bring in more clicks than ever before.

    Advertise your blog

Even though there are many ways to popularize your blog in ways that are free, you might want to spend a few bucks to gain instant traffic. One of the fastest ways to get your blog on the SERP is through PPC campaigns.

For this strategy, there are several advertising methods that will get you the clicks you are looking for:

    • Google Ads: Specific keywords relating to your niche will cause the link to your articles, posts and websites to pop up on Google and YouTube the minute they are entered in the search bar.
    • Facebook and Twitter Ads: These platforms allow you to use locations, interests, and demographics to target specific audiences that will help reach those who are already willing to read it, and raise curiosity to those who have just learned about it.

    Conclusion

Popularizing a blog and building a community around it takes just as much time and effort as creating it. Using these methods the right way and by taking help from a few powerful tools will give your content an extra boost. Now that you are aware of the strategies to adopt, don’t be afraid to start from scratch. Take one step at a time and be patient by trusting the process.

  • LSI Keywords – a Promising Strategy for Ranking in 2024

LSI Keywords – a Promising Strategy for Ranking in 2024

LSI stands for Latent Semantic Indexing. Another related term for LSI is Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA). It is a mathematical computational Natural Language Program (NLP) designed to get various related terms of the main keyword for the searched piece of content.

Latent Semantic Indexing are words and phrase which are related and secondary to the main keywords and search queries. Search engines get a clue from these keywords that this blog is to be ranked for a particular search query. Latent semantic words and phrases are used by Online Search Engines to understand the concept and context of content on a webpage.

Example: Now, we try to understand this term with this example. Let’s say your searched keyword is ‘Skincare’. The related keywords that pop up in the drop-down list in search engines would be skin, beauty, glow, natural products, etc. These related keywords appearing after entering the main query on a search bar are called LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) keywords.

    Related terminologies

There are multiple terminologies closely linked to Latent Semantic Indexing which can be confusing for beginners when they start learning SEO. Let’s clear each one.

Many people confuse LSI with synonyms. Although they are closed terms, they do not have the exact meaning. Synonyms are words with similar meanings; however, latent semantic words give an understanding of the context. For instance, a synonym for happiness would be joy, whereas pleasure, happy life and friends are latent semantic indexing words.

Long tail keywords are the long form of the main keyword. It might be any phrase or word that adds value, context, and depth, and also complies with the reader’s intent.  This long tail keyword gives a clear and in-depth picture of the content written

Fat-headed keywords are general terminologies that help to bring traffic to the site.

    Advantages of LSI keywords

SEO experts highly recommend adding related and secondary phrases to a blog. They greatly increase search impressions, clicks and traffic. Here, I am briefly explaining the benefits of using these amazing keywords.

    Improved content ranking

Latent semantic words help to increase the relevance of content with various keywords. Different search queries have different parameters of ranking difficulty, competition and search volume. Mostly, a website gets more traffic from related keywords rather than from the main query.

    Diverse keyword usage

The use of multiple keywords that match the context of the content helps to attain SEO-optimized content. Use of mix-match of secondary keywords brings search impressions to your blog. They also suggest search engines to rank a website on different search queries.

    User experience enhancement

People tend to understand certain issues when they are taught using examples and different scenarios. Therefore, it is better to use relevant phrases and optimize long-tail keywords that match the essence of the content.

    Transforming SEO using LSI

Search engines use latent semantic indexing  as a tool to understand the context of online content. Their web crawler scans the whole website, gathers web pages and sends them back to the data centers of search engines. Later on, advanced algorithms analyze keywords. So, search engines can suggest these pages for different queries.

Crawling and indexing mechanisms of search engines help users accurately find articles related to their respective queries. Therefore, bloggers should use related words and phrases wisely to get more traffic.

A blogger or website owner requests Google to index web pages and blogs. Search Console is Google’s service for this purpose. Search Console provides insights into indexing, website technical issues, search queries, impressions of different keywords etc. Performance reports of the console usually suggest new keywords and in fact these keywords are LSI.

In the past, web content consisted of multiple keywords that resulted in idle content. Therefore, search engines’ algorithms rely on semantic indexing to effectively assess web content. Well-known Search Engine GOOGLE gave proven results that Latent Semantic words can effectively help to rank a web page on the search engine result page (SERP).

In addition to LSI, Google also looks for other words and phrases which explain more details of the topic. For instance, if the article is about nature, commonly used keywords would be greenery, animals, humans, etc. But if there are clear and diverse words such as habitat, environment, creature, etc., it would easily grasp search engines’ attention to rank it for different keywords. These semantically latent keywords serve as a final touch to the writing canvas and make the content comprehensive.

There are multiple ways in which Google uses advance algorithms like LSI Variation, Rank Brain for contextual understanding, and semantic search. Therefore, it is important to use high-context words and incorporate these words when writing SEO optimized content.

    Best tools to find LSI

There are many tools that can easily find high-quality related and secondary words, queries and phrases. They can be incorporated into your SEO blogs to get organic traffic and SERP ranking.

Multiple paid and free tools are available to find out high quality contextual words, phrase and search queries. In turn, these expressions can aid in devising a better SEO strategy for ranking blogs, articles, or web pages. Following is a list of paid and free LSI tools.

    1. Initialize the blog writing with thorough research of the main keyword.
    2. After selecting the title/main heading of the content, start looking for relevant keywords. Here, LSI tools will play a significant role in assisting which keyword/phrase should be incorporated into the blog to get maximum organic traffic to the web content.
    3. Use either paid or free LSI tools such as Google Keyword Planner or SEMrush, etc.
    4. Master these tools to get maximum benefits of these tools that would aid in ranking the content on SERP.
    5. After this, jump into the writing step and use high-quality researched information with relevant LSI phrases that have been searched before.
    6. Remember, don’t overdo LSI keywords. It will negatively affect the content. Also, don’t force relevant keywords to be fitted into the content. Instead, write comprehensive, reader-friendly blog posts.
    7. Use LSI keywords in the headings and subheadings of the content. Try to embed LSI keywords in the initial 50% of the blog.  This will not only improve SERP ranking but also enhance the readability of the content.
    8. Add external or internal links to the website using LSI phrases.
    9. Add visuals and they make the content attention-grabbing.
    10. Last but not least, proofread, edit, and then publish it with regular monitoring of the content. It can be done through various tools such as Google Analytics.

    Conclusion

LSI plays a significant role when it comes to SEO content writing. It helps Search Engines to understand the context of the content, however it is not solely responsible for ranking. Additionally, blogger should write an engaging blog and afterwards promote it.

The use of high-quality, researched, and comprehensive information with the balanced use of LSI keywords helps the SERP to rank content at better position in search results. Strategic use of Latent Semantic Analysis tools is an on-page SEO skill that helps to get genuine traffic to websites. That’s the whole story of Latent Semantic Indexing keywords.

Now, you have properly designed a strategy, start writing your blog as per the coming paragraphs.

    Fine tune your writing style

Writing style can be either formal or informal depending on the niche and target audience. At a minimum, high earning websites have the following attributes in their articles.

    1. A table of contents.
    2. Proper headings and subheadings.
    3. Short paragraphs.
    4. Bullet points.
    5. Balance between active and passive voices.
    6. Idioms, phrases and proverbs.
    7. External and internal links.
    8. Relevant data and stats.
    9. Attractive visuals like images and videos.
    10. Use connecting words like so, hence, therefore, because, but, however, in spite of, on the spot, at least, at a minimum, on the go, furthermore, moving towards the end etc.

Remember: It does not matter which writing style you adopt. Your content should have the above attributes. So, the user can navigate your content easily and understand your point. Keep your content organized.

    Go with storytelling

Storytelling is the best way to address the audience. Books, magazines, news columns and folks are written examples of storytelling. These writing pieces have suspense and improvisation in the narration. So, include a flow of story in your articles.

    Start with a catchy headline

It’s really important to write a captivating headline i.e., the main heading of your content to engage readers. Because headlines appear on the search results page. Catchy and unique headlines get more clicks.

Therefore, use powerful words in your headlines. Examples are:

    1. Unveiling
    2. Key features explored
    3. Sleek design
    4. Cutting edge
    5. Transforming
    6. Empowering
    7. Revealing
    8. Unlocking
    9. Top, best, amazing, astonishing

    20. Summary
    21. Future
    22. Coming soon

The above list is ongoing. You may find further ideas about words and phrases on other websites. Never forget to use numbers and years in your headlines.

    Go with an engaging introduction

Netizens usually read headlines, introduction, table of contents and conclusion to skim the whole writing piece. So, all these attributes must have enough strength to keep your readers on your article.

Therefore, try to write an interesting introduction to your blog topic. An interesting introduction contains:

    1. A quick overview
    2. Engaging questions
    3. Interesting facts
    4. Start of the story

    Write well-researched content

Write a high-quality and an authentic content to build audience trust. Well-researched articles get backlinks easily. Let’s say if you are writing a commentary on a cricket match, you can embed video of match highlights.

The following factors add authenticity to an article:

    1. Relevant stats
    2. Source of your content
    3. Images, screenshots and videos

    Maintain a consistent tone

It is really important to stay on track and consistent with your tone while converting your ideas into articles. Otherwise, an inconsistent tone can frustrate your readers. So, keep your writing pieces organized and fluent.

    Add visuals

A blog is made attractive by adding visuals. It is a great source of client engagement. Visuals might be videos, images and infographics. Images have alt text which contributes greatly to SEO. And search engines also love text-based content with a mix-match of text and visuals.

You can design visuals from Canva. It is sufficient for a blogger and a content writer. No need to invest time and money in Adobe Creative Cloud and Coral Creative Suite. Canva is enough where you can edit pre-designed templates.

    Conclude your blog

End your article with a conclusion. Just use the word “conclusion” as its heading. No need to use fancy words. Include a transition from your whole article to its closing so that readers feel that your blog has now ended. Never forget to ask a question. Also add a call to action option.

    Add a Call to Action

I have covered all the points from starting the blog and ending it. Now it is time to add a call to action (CTA) option. CTA gives you a conversion and it also helps to build an affiliation with your fans.

At the end of your blog, you can use these options.

    1. Comment box
    2. Social media icons for sharing
    3. Newsletter subscription
    4. Ask a thought-provoking question
    5. Offer visitors free resources like courses, ebooks etc.

    Proofread – Edit – Publish

When you are done with writing, proofread and edit it and then publish it to your website. And it’s done. Use tools to proofread your blog before finalizing it. For proofreading, you need to check:

    1. AI generated content
    2. Plagiarism
    3. Mistakes in spelling and grammar
    4. Inconsistency in tone

There are tools to perform these tasks for you such as Grammarly, WordTune, Zero GPT and DupliChecker. Tools save a lot of time.
